When filmmaker Linda Goldstein Knowlton adopts a baby girl from China, she starts to wonder about how she should go about answering questions when her daughter grows up. In order to try and understand, she follows four teenage girls from all over the United States as they deal with finding their own identity. Some of the teenage girls are other siblings that were also adopted so they have someone they can relate to. Others are the only Asian girl in their small town. Some have been to China numerous times while others haven't been at all. One girl even tried to find her birth parents and miraculously was able to. In the end, the filmmaker learned that no girl's journey and she will find her own way to answer her daughter's questions.
I don't really have anything to say about it. It was interesting to see the different walks of life that each of the girls had and how it has changed their view of themselves and what not.
